There is no limit to the number of OCTs a patient can have. The diagnostic tool utilized in OCT light poses no risk, either to the patient’s eye or systemically. The beauty of this test lies in its noninvasive nature; there-fore patients can have unlimited OCTs without any risk. This technique has become a critical component of the management of age-related macular degeneration.
